We have had two games cancelled this week because the opposition crashed out. March Ladies yet again failed to organise a game for our 20:20 Ladies tournament and Burrough Green have failed to muster a team for Sat against the IVs.
The biggest crashing sound came from Dave Bloc's magnificent six, straight through the windows of the house on the short boundary at Parkers Piece last night. (NCI v ARM) This awesome shot was sadly not recognised as such by the tenant who stormed out to demand recompense. Richie expertly smoothed over the situation in a professional and conciliatory manner by exiting sharp right into the changing rooms to pad up.
Peterboro' Ladies 20:20 is still on for Sunday but we need one more player.
I am very excited about being 12th man at Lords on Monday for Cambridge Papworth Ladies in the semi-final of the Lady Taverners National Knockout tournament. Just hope I manage not to drop the drinks.
